GameAgents beat Slovakia; to WESG EU & CIS Regional LAN
GameAgents swept Slovakia in the Grand Final of the WESG 2017 Central Europe qualifier for a slot in the WESG 2017 EU & CIS Regional Finals.
The Central Europe qualifier semifinals featured one Czech team, David "KAPARZO" Lacina's G, Slovakia, Switzerland, and the eventual winners of the online qualifier, Hungary's GameAgents. Slovakia made quick work of their neighbors, G, while GameAgents knocked Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez and Manuel "SolEk" Zeindler's Switzerland out in two maps.
The final—which granted one slot in the WESG 2017 EU & CIS Regional Finals in Barcelona, which in turn grants six slots into the WESG 2017 World Finals in China—started out with GameAgents dominating a terrorist side on Mirage, their map pick, which they were able to close out after a shaky defense, 16-13.
The second map, Slovakia's pick, was Inferno, but there GameAgents were even more assertive as Kevin "Barcode" Bana, Viktor "flashie" Tamás Bea, and the rest of the crew kept the Slovakian side under ten rounds before closing it out 16-9.
With 16-year-old Fodor "fleav" Levente leading the way on the scoreboard on both maps, GameAgents earned their ticket to Barcelona on November 22-26 where they will fight 19 other teams for a coveted spot in the WESG 2017 World Finals.
