dignitas pull out of GA League
dignitas have announced that they have withdrawn from the GameAgents League with immediate effect.
The Danish team cite scheduling issues as the reason to quit the $25,000 league, which features 12 teams from all over Europe.
The decision comes as a huge surprise, not only because dignitas were looking to defend the title scooped in the first season but also because they were sitting third in the league, with seven points from three matches, after beating volgare and FlipSid3 Tactics, and holding Property to a 1-1 draw.
dignitas exit GameAgents League after three games
This is the second time in less than 24 hours that dignitas make the news, after they announced earlier on Tuesday that they had replaced Nicolaj "Nico" Jensen with Andreas "znajder" Lindberg with hopes of ending a series of mixed results.
"We intentionally wanted to defend our title from the first season, but certain circumstances has made it impossible for us to continue," Jacob "Pimp" Winneche said.
"We are deeply sorry for the troubles this may cause for the other teams that we already have played, and the league itself.
"It is with sadness in my voice we have to make this decision. Hopefully we can come back for the third season, and "defend" what couldn't be defended this time."
As a result of dignitas' withdrawal, all teams competing in the GameAgents League will be handed default wins against the Danish side.
